Consultation on the route of this planned bypass will take place in late January / early February and if it goes ahead then Barnfield and Bushmead will be affected. The road is intended to go from the M1 at a new Junction 11A to a junction near The Pasque Hospice on the A6 and then on to the A505. One proposal involves building a road which would pass close by Bushmead, cross Stopsley Common to come out at a junction near to Butterfield Green Road close to The Vale Cemetery.
